在 recent years, the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) has been strengthening its ability to fulfill its duties and make contributions. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the CPPCC has been focusing on promoting the implementation of national central government’s key tasks and strengthening the party-to-party and inter-party cooperation. In 2023, the CPPCC has held various consultation activities and focused on the implementation of important decisions made by the Central Committee of the CPC.

The CPPCC has also been expanding the width and depth of consultation and discussion. It has established a mobile platform for members to submit proposals and exchange ideas at any time, and it has held remote consultation meetings through the internet to broaden participation in consultations. Additionally, the CPPCC has been improving the institutional mechanisms of the conference to ensure that consultations can be carried out before and during decision-making processes.

To strengthen the responsibility of members, the CPPCC is providing training and education programs to improve their understanding of the conference system and enhance their ability to participate in discussions and provide suggestions. Members are encouraged to focus on major state affairs, carry out investigations and research, and actively provide advice and suggestions to contribute to the country’s development.
