北京讯 – 在 recent years, Chinese President Xi Jinping has embarked on a series of foreign visits to strengthen China’s international influence and deepen cooperation with other countries. In September 2024, Xi visited the Russian city of Krasnoyarsk for the first time since becoming president in 2022. During his visit, he attended the BRICS Summit, where he discussed key issues such as global governance, economic development, and security with other leaders from Brazil, Russia, India, and South Africa.
At the summit, Xi proposed several initiatives to further boost cooperation among BRICS nations. These included establishing an international center dedicated to deep-sea resources, launching a digital education program for BRICS countries, and building a digital infrastructure network. The proposals were welcomed by the other leaders and are expected to contribute to the development of the group.
In addition to BRICS, Xi also emphasized the importance of China’s relationship with “global south” countries. He proposed three main principles for these countries: peacekeeping, common prosperity, and cultural diversity. He also announced several new initiatives, such as the Global Development Initiative, Global Security Initiative, and Global Civilization Initiative.
During his visit, Xi met with various foreign leaders, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
